Your Beauty Treatment Timeline
Ok, so you know the services you need to get done, but when should you do them, and in what order do they need to be done?
Let me take the guess work out of it for you with my recommended beauty timeline in preparation for your wedding or event.

Lash Growth Serum
-
HD Brow Design
If your preferred lash solution is to go with your own lashes, start using a growth serum at least six to eight weeks before your wedding/event day to ensure enough time for the serum to really show its results. I highly recommend the Lashfridays Purified Eyelash Serum, which you can grab HERE.
Your lashes will look fabulous with their new length and a slick of mascara. Something to consider though, is paring the results of your lash growth serum with a lash lift and tint - Oh so gorgeous!!! - Who could resist??
It's best to start early if you're wanting to achieve that perfectly shaped brow. This will give you some time for your brows to grow and achieve fullness in the areas that may be lacking. For severely sparse or overplucked brows you may want to start a brow regrowth plan even earlier.

Bridal Makeup Preview
Spray Tan Trial Run
Having a trial run for your spray tan is a good idea so we can really nail down the perfect tan solution and any required additives for your wedding/event spray tan. It also gives you an opportunity to practice your preparation and aftercare, as you'll want avoid any preparation mistakes that could have an affect on your spray tan.
Your tanning appointment should be at least 48 hours after any lash or brow services (e.g. tinting/lash extensions/lash lifts), 24 hours after any laser skin treatments or laser hair removal (i.e. IPL), and 12 hours after any waxing treatments.
Makeup Preview
Likewise, your makeup preview is the perfect opportunity to nail down the look for your big day. It is an opportunity to work out your preferences, test out any ideas you may have, create your look, and devise a work-around plan for any special skin concerns you may have. Notes and photos will be recorded from the session to ensure accuracy on the day.

Lash Lift
-
Brows
Your lash lift will last six to eight weeks, so it is true that you could get it done earlier than two weeks out if you wish. I always think fresh is best though, so your lash lift won't 'grow out' too much before your event.
If you started using a lash growth serum, your lash lift is best at least six weeks after you starting using it. Your lash lift should also be done at least 48 hours before your spray tan.
If you have already been in for the HD Brow Design treatment, you will want to freshen up your new brow shape before the event. If your brows already have great shape, then this is the time that you will want to come in for your brow tint and tidy so they are in pristine condition for the event (and if you are prone to any skin responses to waxing, your skin will have time to recover). At the very latest, your brow tint should be done 48 hours before your spray tan to avoid the tint reacting with the tanning solution and turning a funky colour.

Lash Extensions
If you are opting to go with lash extensions for your wedding/event, you'll want to get your new set or infill done as close as you can to the big day so they are looking fresh. The other thing to keep in mind when planning your honeymoon, is that you will need an infill two to three weeks later, so you may want to account for that in your timing.
If you are getting a spray tan you will need to have your lashes done at least 48 hours before your spray tan.

Spray Tan
Your spray tan should be the last treatment of all before the big event. It should be at least 48 hours after any lash or brow services (e.g. tinting/lash extensions/lash lifts), 24 hours after any laser skin treatments or laser hair removal (i.e. IPL), and 12 hours after any waxing treatments.
It takes 24 hours to fully develop and it will be at it's peak two to three days after application. So, if your event is on a Saturday, for example, the Thursday or Wednesday before is the ideal time to get your spray tan. At the very latest it should be done 24 hours before your event, as it will be fully developed by then.
The Big Day
-
Makeup time!
All your beauty preparation is now done, and you are ready to get glammed up for your wedding/event.
From a makeup artist's perspective, it doesn't matter if your hair appointment is before or after your makeup application, however, if you spoke to your hair stylist, they would probably say that it is best to get your hair done first - particularly if they will be washing your hair.
If you are wondering whether your makeup will last through the day and into the night, you can rest assured that with the professional application techniques and products that I use, the only thing you will need to touch up is your lippy.
